| About Organizing |
|
Organizing is defined simply as "organizing the unorganized". It is an attempt by the union to raise the standards of everyone working in the industry. For the unorganized worker, joining the union means earning a fair living wage and receiving adequate benefits to provide health insurance for both the worker and his or her family. Equally important are the pension benefits.

POOL OF QUALIFIED CRAFTSMEN/WOMEN - When a contractor obtains labor from the Union, he can request craftsmen/women in the numbers required for a specific project or situation. He will get qualified, trained people that are capable of performing any aspect of the craft.

THE Union REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS – Have you ever had a disagreement with your employer? Most workers have at one time or another. When that happens, it is you against your employer, one on one. Guess who is going to win that argument! Your Boss! As a "Union member", you have representation and protection.
